Greetings!
We are very excited for you to begin your college career and hope you are looking forward to being part of the community here at Misericordia University! The staff has been working extra hard to make your orientation informative and comprehensive. Some of this will be done on-line but your one-day orientation will be both beneficial and fun for you and your parents. Throughout this day you will have an opportunity to meet faculty and staff, upper-class students and other new students entering the “Class of 2028”.

New students have been given their log-in information which allows them to access our portal, myMU. This will allow them to work through the steps found on the orientation tab which will help in the transition to college. Some will have deadline dates so it is important to complete all requirements before you arrive to campus. Throughout the summer we will be contacting you on your Misericordia email. Please be sure to check it regularly. The day is very full and enlightening. We will be holding an “Info Fair” in the morning where you will have the opportunity to visit a variety of different departments allowing you to ask questions specific to your needs. Be sure to get here on time because there is a lot for you to know and discover about the opportunities available to you as a student. Final orientation will be held from August 22nd thru 25th. This is mandatory for all first-year students.
Commuter students please know that you are required to participate in all activities so, if you are employed, you will need to plan accordingly. We know you will find MU orientation both helpful and enjoyable!

If you have any questions, call the New Student & Family Programs Office at (570) 674-6407 or e-mail us at orientation@misericordia.edu.

Have a great summer, stay healthy and safe and we look forward to meeting you. Welcome to the Misericordia Family!
Sincerely,

Darcy Signature
