Annual Fund
The Annual Fund plays an important role in the daily life of the University: it supports the University's most important asset-our students-by raising the funds to help meet the University's yearly operating budget. As with most private universitys, a strong Annual Fund is vital to continuing our mission.
Endowment and Scholarships
To continue the mission of the Religious Sisters of Mercy and make higher education a possibility for deserving first generation college students, the University must be able to offer significant financial aid. The Endowment Fund provides spendable revenue from investment earnings and supports scholarships for academically talented and financial needy students.
Capital Projects
Within the last ten years, the University has launched two major campaigns. The Campaign for Misericordia University, completed in 1998 raised $10.6 million and changed the face of the campus with the construction of the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library. The Advancing the Vision completed in 2003 raised $5.2 million for the renovation of Mercy Hall, enhanced our endowment, and added state of the art outdoor athletic facilities. Current projects being planned for campus beautification are the renovation of Rosenn Plaza and the creation of a Shakespeare Garden.
Government, Corporate and Foundation Giving
The University pursues external funds for projects identified as supportive of its educational mission. Over the past five years, nearly $5 million has been secured for special intiatives such as the Women with Children Program, networking the residence halls and funding for several academic programs.
