International and intercultural study, research, and service abroad opportunities at Misericordia University are designed and developed so that students have the opportunity to explore, grow, and shape their experiences not only as Misericordia students but as citizens of the world, demonstrating the charisms of mercy, service, justice, and hospitality in the increasingly global environment in which they live.  Studying abroad-away leads to a great variety of experiences that help students grow personally, academically and in the end, professionally.  Several benefits include developing a clearer understanding of the world,  a greater appreciation of social, cultural, and political differences and a greater variety of personal attributes.

The Study Abroad-Away Office

The Study Abroad-Away Office is responsible for delivering international and intercultural study, research, and service abroad opportunities for students at Misericordia University.

Students who enroll at MU and are interested in becoming involved in study, research, or service abroad are highly encouraged to do so through a series of well-planned opportunities. These programs vary in duration, but all provide important intercultural experiences that can prepare students for future success. Misericordia students have studied in many exciting and interesting places including Switzerland, Japan, Tanzania, Ghana, Spain, Ireland, Italy and more! There is certainly a program for everyone.
