Brenda Pavill presented on "Flipped Classroom Activities" as part of MU's end of year CETL faculty in-service days.

On June 8-11th at the Emerging Diversities in Health Humanities Teaching Conference, Dr. Pavill presented a poster titled Nursing through the Lens of Literature at Hiram College, Ohio.

Congratulations to adjunct OT faculty Dr. Andrea Collins and MU OT 2015 graduates Melanie Clabia, Kaitlyn Cully, Kaitlyn Pagnotta, and Deborah Keys. Their study called "Exploring School Based Occupational Therapists’ Perspectives on the Use of iPad" will be published in the March 21 issue of OT Practice.

A research report from OT Class of 2013 weekend MS program graduates Judy Myers, Michelle Bender, Tabitha Marquardt, Maureen Roche, along with Dr. Grace S. Fisher, is now published:“Occupational Balance in Religious Sisters of Mercy using Matuska and Christiansen’s Life Balance Model" in the Journal of Occupational Science, (published on line November 30, 2015).

Richard Haydt and former DPT students Ryan Hassick, James Schreffler, Jamison Perkins, Michael Henahan, and Rachael Richards had an article accepted for publication in the Indian Journal of Physical Therapy: Comparing the effects of segmental and global stabilization exercises on patients with low back pain secondary to spinal instability.

Glen and Cari Tellis had their article, "Using Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy with Fluent Speakers to Determine Hemoglobin Changes in the Brain during Speech and Non-Speech Tasks,'' in the online edition of NIR news, Volume 27 Issue 3 (2016).

Sonography

On February 27, 2016, Sheryl Goss, Chair of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, presented two lectures at the 25th Annual Diagnostic Ultrasound Symposium sponsored by Promedica. Titles of presentations were Sonography, Better Than Ever and Pediatric Sonography: Learning Through Images. The conference was attended by over 300 sonographers.
